Visualising the concept

Last week, we held a refining session for the Proof of Concept (PoC), which revealed some valuable insights worth sharing. The concept surprised us with its potential, showing clear benefits despite being still uncertain. Although the scope remains somewhat abstract, there is enough descriptive detail to outline the key ideas.

The session didn’t require a lengthy alignment exercise since the concepts were already well understood. Instead, it was a short meeting that mainly codified the PoC's current state in an interesting form. We identified three primary areas of work: User Experience (UX), Research, and Analytics:

  1. UX focuses on features that enhance value for users.

  2. Research is the largest and potentially riskiest area at this stage, though its link to the UX remains unclear.

  3. Analytics supports system maintenance and reliability for now.

We already expected some overlap between these areas, as noted in the high-level timeline shared in a previous post. This session brought a new interesting twist, and that is that this overlap can be seen from different angles:

  • In one view, certain UX concepts spill into the Research area.

  • In another view, those same UX concepts rely on - and are built out of - ideas from Research.

These two perspectives align but do not intersect. Additionally, attempting to reconcile them might complicate the PoC’s structure: although flexible, the approach has some constraints. This insight, drawn from geometrical thinking, possibly reflects the system under development, though clarifying this needs further exploration.
